GDC Purmandal Celebrates 74th Republic Day

NSS Unit of GDC Purmandal in collaboration with the cultural committee of the college celebrated 74th Republic Day and Basant Panchami on 26th of January 2023. The celebrations started with the unfurling of the National Flag by Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar in presence of chief guest Sarpanch katwalta Ms. Sapna Sapolia and guest of honour Joint Director Planning Department Sh. Sunil Pandita. On this occasion a bonanza of cultural programmes was also presented by students of the college. This was followed by rendition of patriotic songs by NSS Volunteers. Traditional lighting lamp was lit by Principal and all the other guests to start of the celebrations of Basant Panchami. This festival heralds the entrance of spring, the most royal of all the seasons. Certificates and medals were also distributed among the successful students. The celebrations culminated with singing of the National Anthem. The whole event was organized under the patronage of Principal and Coordinated by Prof. Mohammad Rafi (NSS PO). Other members of the organizing team included Prof. Lakshmi Sohan (HOD English), Prof. Shahima Akhter (Convener NSS) and Prof. Deepika Mehra (Convener Cultural Committee).
