Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu in collaboration with Government Degree College, Purmandal organized online Career Counseling Programme for students.

Employement Information cum Advisory Bureu (EIAB), Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu in collaboration with Government Degree College, Purmandal organized online one day Career Awareness Programme. The programme was held under the overall supervision of Dr. Kavita Suri, Director, DLL, University of Jammu. Dr. Rewa Khajuria, Counselor, EIAB, DLL coordinated the whole programme. Prof. R.K Rampal, Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jammu and Dr. Garima Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of English, University of Jammu were the resource persons of the event. About 67 students of the college attended the programme. Prof. Seema Mir, Principal of the College welcomed the guests and in her address said that these types of counseling programmes for the students are the need of the hour. She also requested to organize such kind of offline programmes for her students. Prof. Shahima Akhter, Convenor, Career Counselling Cell of GDC Purmandal started the programme. First speaker was Prof. R.K Rampal provided very useful information on career options in Environmental Sciences after graduation and Post-graduation. The second speaker was Dr. Garima Gupta who apprised the students about new and emerging areas in different languages and Career opportunities in English subject. She also spoke about employability skills. Prof. Nirlape Kour (HOD, Dept. of Pol. Science) presented formal vote of thanks at end.
