Career counseling cell and NSS Unit of GDC Purmandal in collaboration with District Employment and Counseling Centre Samba organized one day Rozgar Mela for the students and locals of adjoining areas in the college premises . The mela was organized keeping in mind the need of the youth and to made them aware about different initiatives of Govt. of India especially employment opportunities available in UT of J&K with special reference to District Samba. The youth from nearby villages participated enthusiastically and also enquired about different start-up opportunities available for them. The officials from District Employment office Samba, J&K Bank, Jal Shakti Deptt. , Agricultural and Horticulture Department were present on the occasion and elaborated in detail about all the schemes like Mumkin Scheme, Tejaswini Scheme, Sahyta Scheme, Scheme for Dental Professionals, Umeed Scheme, Rise together etc. Mr. Sunil Pandita, Joint Director, PD&MD also interacted with the students and other locals present there. Sarpanch Mandal (Katwalta) Mrs. Sapana Spolia while speaking on the occasion stressed upon different career opportunities available especially for girls. The whole programme was organized under the patronage of worthy Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar. In her address, she motivated the students to get benefited from these career opportunities which are made available to them by all the participating Departments. The whole programme was co-ordinated by Prof. Shahima Akhter (Convener Career Counseling Cell), Prof. Mohd. Rafi (NSS PO) and Dr. Deepika Mehra (HOD Dogri)
