NSS Unit Of GDC Purmandal Concluded Week-long Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations, 2023

NSS Unit of the college concluded Gandhi Jayanti celebrations with full fervor and gaiety by paying floral tributes to Gandhiji. On 20th September, 2023 Screening of Documentary on the theme ‘Truth & Non-Violence’ was held with an objective to promote values of non-violence, harmony and brotherhood among students. On 22-09-2023 , an intra-collge declamation contest was organized in which around 30 students participated. On 25-09-2023, a slogan writing competition was organized. On 27th September, 2023 students took part in programme ‘swachhta hi seva’ organized by Block Development Office, Purmandal. On 30th September, 2023 a singing competition was held in which student of the college enthralled the audience with their melodious voice by singing favourite bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. On 1st October, 2023 around 70 NSS Volunteers along with staff and Principal of the college organized Mega Cleanliness Drive in market places of Purmandal under ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign of J&K UT. On 3rd October, 2023 a concluding ceremony of Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations was held in which lamp lighting and floral tributes were paid to GandhiJi by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar in presence of staff and NSS Volunteers. The celebrations were held under the patronage of Principal of the college. Coordinators of the activities were Prof. Shahima Akhter [convener] and Prof. Mohammad Rafi [NSS PO]. Co-coordinators included Prof. Lakshmi Sohan [member NSS] and Dr. Deepika Mehra [member NSS].
