J&K Digital Week Celebrations Concludes At GDC, Purmandal

GDC Purmandal organized a week long activities to celebrate Digital J&K Week w.e.f 31st August to 6th of September, 2023 under the patronship of worthy Principal Prof. [Dr.] Raj Shree Dhar. The Program was organized to aware students and staff about digitalization and its importance in the modern age of technology. On day 1st i.e. on 31st of August, a banner was installed in the college premises and worthy Principal of the college inaugurated the week long celebrations with her introductory remarks in the presence of 30 students and whole staff of the college. On day 2nd i.e on 1st of September, Prof. Shahima Akhter [HOD, EVS] delivered an extension lecture on ‘Digital Initiatives in Higher Education’. More than 40 students attended the lecture and had interaction on the topic. On day 3rd i.e. on 2nd of September, college witnessed a large number of creative students coming forward and making the selfie point. The selfie point was created to encourage the students to use the digital platform for the ease of work. On day 4th i.e. on 4th of September, an intra college essay writing competition on the theme ‘Digital India: Empowerment and Transformation’ was organized in which about 20 students have participated. On day 5th and 6th I,e. 5th and 6th of September, an intra-college symposium and poster making competition on the theme ‘Digital J&K’ was organized in which Mohinder Kumar, Rabina of B.A. Sem 5th and Babeeta of B.A sem 3rd stood first, second and third respectively. The whole week long event was coordinated by Prof. Shahima Akhter, HOD EVS and Nodal Officer Cyber Jagrookta Cell and co-coordinated by Prof. Lakshmi Sohan, Prof. Deepika Mehra and Prof. Mohammad Rafi under the supervision of Prof. [Dr.] Raj Shree Dhar, Principal of the college.
