GDC Purmandal celebrates International Women’s Day, 2023. NSS Unit in collaboration with women development cell of the college celebrated International Women’s Day on 08-03-2023. The programme commenced with the tradition of lighting the lamp by Chief Guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. Worthy Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar extended a warm welcome to all the esteemed guests. Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Samba graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Ms. Sukhleen Kour, Chief Plannning Officer, Samba and Ms. Sapna Sapolia, Sarpanch, Katwalta were guests of honor. The students of the college entertained the audience by presenting number of cultural performances. Speaking on the occasion chief guest stressed upon the need to break stereotypes and encouraged the girl students of the college to learn life skills to come out of this bondage. She also awared students about number of steps being taken by District Administration Samba for overall holistic growth and development of the area viz. Har Ghar mein Champion Campaign- to make Samba district Clean and Green, Samba stories Youtube channel- where anybody can highlight his/her personal achievements. Ms. Sukhleen Kour and Ms. Sapna Sapolia also spoke on the occasion and encouraged girl childs to show their talent in every field. The whole proceedings of the day were conducted by Prof. Shahima Akhter (HOD, Enviornmental Sciences). The whole programme was successfully organized under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar and coordinated by NSS Team which included Prof. Mohammad Rafi (NSS PO), Prof. Shahima Akhter (NSS Convener), Prof. Lakshmi Sohan (Member) and Prof. Deepika Mehra (Member)
