GDC Purmandal Organizes Poster Making Event On Drug Abuse And Illicit Trafficking

NSS Unit in collaboration with NCORD Committee and RRC of the college organized Poster Making Event on the theme “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”. Number of students from all the odd semesters participated in the said event and displayed their artistic skill. Complementing the participants for their creative endeavor worthy Principal of the College Prof. [Dr.] Raj Shree Dhar in her address said that this menace is slowly and gradually spreading in the society. The event was organized to sensitize youth towards this dreadly. Facing this challenge it has now become imperative for the authorities to raise awareness regarding this. Speaking on the said event convener of NCORD Prof. Lakshmi Sohan said that we have already waged a war against Drug Abuse. Therefore these events are mandatory to wipe out the menace from the society. She exhorted that youth should work relentlessly shoulder to shoulder with the Government authority to identify the drug addict. The whole event was organized under the patronage of Prof. [Dr.] Raj Shree Dhar. Organizing team included Prof. Lakshmi Sohan [NCORD], Prof. Mohammad Rafi [NSS PO], Prof. Shahima Akhter [ Convener RRC] and Dr. Deepika Mehra [convener Cultural Committee].
