GDC Purmandal celebrated 75^th Year of Independence

This 15^th of August, India celebrates 75 years of Independence. We as Indians pay respect and homage to all the leaders who fought bravely for our Nation’s Freedom in the past. The 75^th Independence Day of India was celebrated in solemn and dignified manner at GDC Purmandal under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Worthy Principal of the college, Prof. Seema Mir along with staff both Teaching and Non-teaching, Sarpanch Mandal Sapna Sapolia, Mr. Ramsaroop, Sub-Inspector Purmandal Mr.Shakti Singh Shaan with his team were present on the occasion. The National Flag was hoisted by worthy Principal of the college with lot of fervour and gaiety. Despite heavy rain, students of the college performed march past and presented salute to National Flag. The whole atmosphere was echoed with singing of the famous song which has been sung by the nightingale of India Bharat Ratna Awardee Late. Ms. Lata Mangeshkar Ji “AEE MERE WATAN KE LOGO” to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Nation. National Anthem was sung by all. To add to the charm of celebrating 75^th year of Independence , the colourful bonanza of cultural programme was presented by the students of GDC Purmandal. The programme began with the lighting of lamp, singing of Saraswati bandana followed by the patriotic group song and solo dance by the students of the college. Worthy Principal of the college began her address by wishing everyone Happy Independence Day. In order to motivate and to enhance the capabilities and the capacities of the students and staff, prize distribution function was also organized by the college where in Prof. Nirlape Kour (Organizing secretary of the event was the anchor and coordinated the programme. She said beautiful things must be appreciated at all the levels. In this regards respected Principal of the college along with the guests on the occasion presented medals, trophies and certificates to the students, staff (Teaching / Non-teaching) and guests at the event. To make the programme successful organizing team of the college including students worked shoulder to shoulder. The programme ended with the vote of thanks.
