As part of 8 Day Special Summer Camp, 2023 under the aegis of celebration of India’s G20 Presidency NSS Unit of the college in collaboration with State Disaster Response Force 2nd BN., Jammu organized “One Day Awareness Cum Demonstration On Disaster Management” under the close supervision of Inspector Sh. Sanjeev Kalsi. The SDRF team was formally welcomed by Principal of the college Prof. [Dr.] Raj Shree Dhar. She said that aim of todays programme is to train volunteers in order to be ready to meet any Disaster and Emergency Situations. The overview of the whole awareness cum demonstration activities was presented by Sub-Inspector Sh. Vikas Sharma. Other resource persons presented demonstrations related to Disasters and how to overcome different kinds of disaster related situations. On the occasion search and rescue kits were also displayed for the awareness of the students. Demonstrations on how to deal with injured ones during any accident were also given to the participating volunteers. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Shahima Akhter [convener NSS Advisory committee]. The whole programme was successfully coordinated by Prof. Mohammad Rafi [NSS PO] with the active support of other members which included Dr. Deepika Mehra [member], Dr. Princy Sharma [member] and Prof. Harvinder Kour [member].
