GDC, Purmandal in collaboration with department of Lifelong Learning organised Career Counselling Programme

Employment Information Cum Advisory Bureau (EIAB), department of Lifelong Learning organised Career Counselling Programme. in collaboration with Govt. Degree College, Purmandal on “Career options in Performing Arts & Self Employment” for the students of the college in its premises. The event started with the lighting of the lamp followed by the presentation of bouquets. Worthy Principal of the college formally welcomed the resource persons of the event and in her address stressed on the need of organising such type of programmes for the benefit of the students in their crucial stage. The special resource persons of the event were Dr. Harleen Kour, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, University of Jammu and Mr. Sumit Sharma Drama Instructor, Dean Students’ Welfare, University of Jammu. The First resource person Dr. Harleen Kour informed the students about the concept of self employment and about the various Government Schemes and start ups. Mr. Sumit Sharma in his presentation apprised the students about career prospects in performing Arts and further study options in drama and theatre etc. Dr. Rakesh Kumar (HOD Urdu ) presented the welcome address. About 50 students of the college attended the programme. Prof. Shahima Akhter (Convener Career Counselling Cell) presented the vote of thanks. Dr. Rewa Khajuria counsellor Department of Lifelong Learning Coordinated the whole event.
